READ: Hebrews 11:1-40. Invite different group members to read the passage out loud, two or three times. Each time, use a different Bible translation.
Spend 2 minutes in silent prayer. After two minutes, have someone close in prayer.
Q1 – When you read the lives of those listed in Hebrews 11, what feels like the biggest gap between their faith and yours?
Q2 – How would you define faith?
POINT 1 – Faith is rooted in tangible evidence.
READ: “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” Romans 1:20
Q3 – Where have you seen God show up tangibly or answer prayers in ways that strengthened your trust in Him?
POINT 2 – Faith is marked by relational confidence.
Q4 – Relational confidence with God grows as we actively walk by faith. How has stepping out into the things God has called you to, whether through prayer, Scripture, worship, or bold action, helped you trust Him more deeply in the unknown?
Q5 – What area do you need to exercise: prayer, serving, generosity, or another area where God is calling you to grow through daily practice and faithfulness?
POINT 3 – Faith is strengthened by real resistance.
READ: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:2-4
Q6 – Our culture often tries to minimize suffering, yet suffering often grows our intimacy with Christ. Can you share a time when hardship became a significant part of your faith journey?
FAITH = RELATIONAL TRUST
Q7 – How can our communion with the church body help sustain our faith?
Q8 – Walking by faith is not just believing about God but with Him. What does "walking by faith" practically look like for you right now?
