READ: Hebrews 10:26-39. Invite different group members to read the passage out loud, two or three times. Each time, use a different Bible translation.
Spend 2 minutes in silent prayer. After two minutes, have someone close in prayer.
Q1 – Reflect on Hebrews 10:32 “Remember those earlier days...” When you first came to know Jesus, what marked that season of your faith and how has that changed or faded over time?
Q2 – What past moment of God’s faithfulness do you need to remember to strengthen your confidence now?
Q3 – How does the idea of God as Judge sit with you? Does it bring fear, peace, reverence, or something else? Why?
Q4 – How does understanding God’s wrath through the lens of His justice and love deepen your gratitude for Jesus?
POINT 1 – Do you love your life too much?
Q5 – What area of your life feels hardest to surrender to Jesus right now? Is there something you love or prioritize that would be painful to lay down if He asked?
POINT 2 – Do you belong to the Church?
Q6 – In what ways are you actively submitted to the authority and community of a local church? Discuss your view of the authority of the church in your life. Where might God be calling you into deeper belonging or accountability?
Q7 – If someone examined how you spend your time, money, and energy, what would they say your life is built on? What changes could realign your priorities with Jesus and His Church?
Q8 – Reflect on Verse 39: “We are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.” What would it look like, practically, for you to not shrink back this week?
