Trusting God's Faithfulness
Miles Fidell

God has made a way — take your seat at the table! This week, our Senior Pastor, Miles Fidell, continues our journey through Romans, calling us to receive the gift of the Gospel and respond to the worth of God with lives fully surrendered to Him.

PRAY: Spend two minutes in silent prayer. After two minutes, have someone pray for your time together as a group.

READ: Romans 1:14-28. Invite different group members to read the passage out loud, two or three times. Each time, use a different Bible translation to allow for the Spirit to highlight key points through different wordings and sentence structures.

Q1 – “Faith is more functional than intellectual.” How do your actions reveal what you truly believe and trust? In what area of your life is God inviting your faith to become more than words—to shape your choices, priorities, and actions?

Q2 – Which lesser or false gospel – prosperity, self-help, sin management, etc. – are you most tempted to believe? How does it shape the way you view Jesus and what it means to follow Him?

Q3 – When you compare these lesser gospels with the King Jesus Gospel, what is fundamentally different about what they offer, who they center on, and what they call us to do?

Q4 – God gives us the image of a table He has prepared and invited us to, in spite of our failures and errors. Rather than insisting on our own way, what would it look like for you to receive His invitation? What might He be asking you to surrender in order to receive what He has prepared for you?

Q5 – If you truly took your seat at God's table, what would begin to look different in your everyday life—your work, relationships, time, money, habits, or priorities?

Q6 – Which area do you most want to grow in—communication, delight, or worship? What is one intentional way you can practice that this week?

CHALLENGE: GIVE THANKS

●  This week, we’re going to practice keeping gratitude at the forefront of our lives. Start a gratitude journal and work toward writing down 100 things you can thank God for throughout the week – roughly 15-20 a day. They don’t have to be big or profound; look for the ordinary ways in which God is good to you. But don’t just make a list – turn each one into a prayer of gratitude, pausing to thank God specifically for what you’ve noticed.

●  We’re doing this because gratitude is a proper response to who God is and all that He has done for us. The goal isn’t simply to complete 100 items, but to train our hearts to notice God’s goodness and respond to Him with thanksgiving throughout our everyday lives. And our hope is that this becomes more than a one-week challenge—that we would continue cultivating a life where gratitude is always at the forefront.
